Join us to explore the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery, the state’s only museum dedicated to the history of African American people in Minnesota. A little over a year old, the museum’s permanent exhibit, “Celebrating the Resilience of African Americans in Minnesota,” highlights African American early settlers in the 1800s, women trailblazers, African Americans who served in the military in World Wars I and II, and more. Museum co-founder Coventry Cowens will lead the tour. Free visitor parking is located in the ramp at the rear of the building. Museum admission is free.
