About this event
Attend a screening of Alive Inside, an award-winning documentary film. The film focuses on Dan Cohen, founder of the nonprofit organization "Music and Memory," who discovered that for people with memory loss, favorite songs are intact in a part of the brain that is still alive when all other communication and awareness seem irretrievably lost. Watch as music makes blank faces and somber visages erupt into joy. (There is no limit on the number, nor registration required, for members who would like to only attend the public screening at The Edina Cinema.)
There is space for 32 members and guests to convene at Karla Ekdahl and Peter Hutchinson's home for cheese, wine, and discussion after the film (registration required). MSP Film Society's Executive Director will kick off the discussion.
