About this event
American journalism is undergoing an existential crisis. The norms, ethics, and financial models that sustained it for much of the last 125 years have all been eroded by the digital revolution and political polarization. Yet this turbulent situation is a reflection of both of what is dying and what promising innovations are being born.
Samuel Freedman, a professor emeritus at Columbia Journalism School and the author of 10 books, will discuss the new journalistic landscape with us.
