About this event
Join us at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts (Mia) for a guided tour of "Kenji Nakahashi: A Confident Life."
Known for work that is at once contemplative, playful, and a bit surreal, Japanese artist Kenji Nakahashi drew inspiration from everyday life, transforming ordinary objects into thought-provoking works of art. While best known for his concept-driven photography, he explored a wide range of mediums, including drawing, painting, collage, and printmaking. His work invites us to look more closely at the familiar, often presenting common items, like street signs, drinking glasses, and clocks, in unexpected and imaginative ways.
We will meet in galleries 315 and 316 at 1:00 pm for our 1:15 pm tour. Please click HERE to see map of galleries. Space is limited to 20 participants.
