About this event
Join us at the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) for a guided tour of “Royal Bronzes: Cambodian Art of the Divine,” an extraordinary exhibition that brings the Khmer Empire’s artistic brilliance to life. Together we’ll explore exquisite bronze statues, ritual objects, and sacred artifacts that illuminate a world where craftsmanship, spirituality, and royal authority were deeply intertwined.
With more than 200 objects on display—including a colossal sculpture of the Hindu god Vishnu, considered a Cambodian national treasure—this exhibition offers an unprecedented glimpse into the empire’s metallurgical traditions and the remarkable archaeological discoveries that continue to shape our understanding of Khmer culture. This exhibit will only be shown in three US cities: MIA (Minneapolis), Washington DC and the Asian in San Francisco.
This tour is limited to 20 participants. We will meet at the front of the Target Galleries where the exhibition is located, no later than 10:25am. Tickets for this exhibit are complimentary.
