About this event
Please join us for a free guided tour of Collidoscope: De la Torre Brothers Retro-Perspective—the first major touring exhibition celebrating artists and brothers Einar and Jamex de la Torre. Featuring 37 vibrant works of sculpture and installation, the show has been described by The New York Times as “dazzlingly complex.”
Living and creating on both sides of the U.S.–Mexico border, the de la Torre brothers infuse their art with sharp wit and cultural insight. Their work blends ancient Mesoamerican imagery, Mexican folk traditions, Baroque extravagance, and contemporary pop culture—resulting in bold, joyful pieces that mix humor, irreverence, and thoughtful social commentary.
After the tour, we’ll head to Churchill St. Restaurant for a Dutch-treat lunch and continued conversation.
Free parking is available at the Cafesjian Art Trust. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before the 10:00 am tour. There is no cost for this tour, but is limited to 7 participants.
