Join us for a special outing to the Mille Lacs Indian Museum in Onamia, dedicated to celebrating the history, culture, and contemporary life of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe.
During our visit, we’ll explore all of the museum’s exhibits, including an extensive collection of art, artifacts, and clothing, as well as a comprehensive look at treaties between the Ojibwe and other sovereign nations. A highlight will be a private tour of the Four Seasons Room, featuring beautiful dioramas that depict Ojibwe life through the changing seasons.
We’ll also stop at the Trading Post, in operation since the late 1910s, known for Minnesota’s largest selection of authentic Native American art and crafts—both traditional and contemporary.
Before heading home, we’ll take a quick look at Grand Casino and then enjoy a casual, Dutch-treat dinner at Eddy’s Resort, right on the shore of beautiful Lake Mille Lacs.
