About this event
Over the past two presidential terms, the U.S. has strongly pivoted away from neoliberalism as a foreign economic policy approach. The United States faces a complex set of dilemmas and choices regarding its role in the global economy. While the U.S. has historically championed free trade and international cooperation, recent trends suggest a shift towards strategic competition and a more inward-looking approach, particularly concerning trade, technology, and industrial policy. This evolution presents challenges to maintaining global economic leadership and requires careful consideration of how to balance national interests with international cooperation.
Registration for each session is required for Great Decisions members. Please register on the MCC website. Sorry, not open to guests.
Great Decisions is a foreign policy discussion series offered to our Mill City Commons members. The full program includes eight sessions throughout the year, and participation requires a one-time fee to attend all sessions. Only paid participants are eligible to register and attend each session. To join the MCC Great Decisions Discussion Group, please email Jane Stacy at janestacy@millcitycommons.org.
